During my summer internship at Carnegie Robotics (CRL), I was tasked with rapidly designing and iterating Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes) enclosures for our newly integrated FLIR Tura thermal cameras.
I made great use of the machine shop and waterjet to fabricate parts for these enclosures and validated their thermal stability using SolidWorks Flow Simulation.
Learned to optimize for mass production and loved the energy of a fast-moving engineering team.
